Do you have the right to use any caddy you want on a golf course?

A female caddy service which provides glamorous models trained in golf etiquette has been banned from courses for "damaging the reputation of the sport".

The women, who wear tight-fitting pink uniforms, are provided by Eye Candy Caddies, which describes itself as the "gorgeous new solution for unforgettable golf days".

A golf course is private property. The owners can set whatever rules they want regarding who can use the course.

Caddies are paid for their services. The course can set even more stringent rules regarding who can use the course for the purpose of making money.

  1. The club, conference or association which runs the tournament can set whatever restrictions it wishes on the competition. If it prohibits scantily clad females, so be it. As a contestant you go by their rules.

  2. The right? No. The privilege? That’s up to the golf course. The course, as a private business, has the RIGHT to set it’s rules and standards. Provided that RIGHTS are not being violated (due to race, religious beliefs, gender, etc) then they can set any rules they want. They can’t set a rule like this base on gender, but they can set a reasonable dress code.

  3. Well, at least, the Eye Candy Caddies would provide something interesting on the golf course. Although my Mother was a lifelong fan of golf, I share an opinion with Mark Twain, "Golf is the ruination of a good walk."

  5. Every golf course, whether private or public sets its rules and regulations, including as to whether or not outside caddies (caddies not affiliated, trained, and certified by the club) are allowed, as well as dress/uniform codes for both players and staff including caddies.
